Hole plate music box with 24 plates. Polyphon.
Around 1900.
Walnut veneered. 20 x 34 x 31 cm, L comb 12 cm, Ø plates 28 cm. 8.8 + 3.7 kg.
"Music box" with pull lever in the front and inlaid imitation ivory lettering on the hinged lid; lithograph in the lid: putti playing music. Fluted, gold-bronzed cast iron base plate, musical mechanism with reed comb and central drive as well as shaft for the crank handle. Polyphonically marked plates, e.g. Zar und Zimmermann, Wein-Walzer, Bienenhaus, Oh du fröhliche, Vogelhändler, Tannhäuser, Edelweiß etc. Missing part and repair to the lettering on the lid, otherwise few signs of age/use, a few plates somewhat rusty.
