Flattened cow horn, wooden plug. L 27 cm (without stopper).
Flattened horn with turnery-like carving at the tip; here a monster's head with open mouth. Finely engraved scenes on both sides: Hunting fox and hare and a couple with a suggestive slogan "Greif oben, Fuchs unden". On the other side a merchant's stall with 2 women and an ambiguous saying: "Ihr Jungfern kauffet Fuchsschwäntz ein, ich haber sie seit gros und klein". 1 small chip to the rim, otherwise hardly any signs of age/use.
