German painter, draughtsman, graphic artist and teacher, studied drawing at the University of Halle under Otto Fischer-Lamberg, then studied at the Dresden Academy under Richard Müller, Otto Dix and Hermann Dittrich as well as at the Dresden School of Arts and Crafts under Walter Böckelmann and Maximilian Seibt, worked in Munich from 1959 and finally in Altötting, member of the artists' group "Die Burg" in Burghausen.
