"Edison Standard Phonograph" with 32 rollers.
Multicolor print "Edison Standard Phonograph" on the case, marked in gold lettering on the movement and metal plaque with patent notices and serial number "S257866", Reproduce "Model C", mostly "Edison Goldguss Walzen". Circa 1900.
Solid oak, black lacquered iron, sheet brass. Wax rollers. 29 x 33 x 24 cm (without handle), L rollers 10.5 cm, Ø rollers 5.5 cm, Ø inside 4.5 cm. 8.5 + 4.1 kg.
Wooden case with hinged carrying handle on lockable arched lid, a screwed-in crank on the side. Movement with rubber band drive for the carrier roller and original bell with brass rim. Red and partly blue cardboard sleeves with inscriptions for the rollers, e.g. Hipp Hipp Hurra, Wien bleibt Wien, Klosterglocken etc. Water damage and signs of wear on the back of the case, some signs of age/use on the rollers. Works.
