Pair of dessert plates with "Möllendorf decor". Meissen.

Relief rocaille cartouches with symbols of science, art and military triumph alternating with flowering branches. Painted in iron red and gold with a scale rim, toothed edge and Indian flowering branches. Impressed marks, sword marks with dot.
The service was commissioned by Frederick II in 1761 and given to General Wichard von Möllendorf in 1781 *Partner auction Bergmann.
