Rare Italian designer table lamp. Fontana Arte, Milan.

30 x 15 x 10.5 cm. 8.3 kg.
Design by Max Ingrand (1908-1969). Thick-walled greenish glass with round frosted cut decoration, chrome-plated steel mount, one light source. Minimal signs of wear.
Ingrand (actually Maurice Ernest), glass painter and designer, studied at the Ecole nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Active in his own companies since 1931, 1954-1967 artistic director of Fontana Arte, founded by Gio Ponti in Milan in 1932 * Partner auction Bergmann.
