Tischbein, portrait, animal and landscape painter, graphic artist, brother of Johann Heinrich Wilhelm (Goethe-Tischbein), pupil of his uncle Johann Heinrich the Elder (Kassel Tischbein). 1766-1772 pattern draughtsman at the Collegium Carolinum in Kassel, traveled Europe, appointed first inspector of the picture gallery in Kassel in 1773, works in several German museums * Partner auction Bergmann.
