Ivory statuette: Emperor Charles V on a pedestal
Ivory, pedestal with ivory cladding and tortoiseshell fillings on all sides. 18th century according to expert opinion. H 16 / 25.5 cm.
Carved in detail after the painting by Jakob Seisenegger from 1532 of the Spanish king and emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in splendid robes. Sword tip missing, plinth with filling at removed tooth socket.
