Bronze wall plate with stag
Bronze patinated. Inscribed with monogram, indistinct foundry mark of Lauchhammer (after 1945) on verso. Ø 41 cm. 5.0 kg.
Capital stag standing in the center, surrounded by other animals in incised drawing. Minimal signs of age/use, suspension glued.
Animal sculptor, master student of Selmar Werner at the academy in Dresden. Worked for the porcelain manufactories Nymphenburg and Meissen (here head of the design department).
