Embossed leather binding partly painted, metal clasp, gilt edges, musical mechanism. Photos partly colored. Album 27 x 21 x 7 cm, photos mostly Carte de Visite, 6x about Cabinet. 1.7 kg.
Minstrel with lute on the cover, binding otherwise richly ornamentally embossed; the unmarked musical mechanism begins when the clasp is opened. Numerous pictures of soldiers, including 6 larger ones, 4 of them with photo print frames, e.g. hip portrait of a sailor of the SMS Pelikan (photo studio Kiel), still portrait of a soldier of the 31st Art.-Rgt. (studio Charlottenburg), still portrait probably of a cavalryman (studio Bonn), bust of a soldier of the 83rd Rgt., furthermore bust portrait of a soldier and hip portrait of an officer with Iron Cross (this studio Leipzig 1896). 17 smaller photos of soldiers, including 1 officer and 4 civilian photos. Signs of age/wear to album, spine joint cracked. Music box plays. Photos partly signs of age/use, partly glued in.
