Golden Art Nouveau sprung-cap clock "Seeland". Seeland Watch Co. S.A., Madretsch (Biel).
Circa 1910, case no. 69185, patent no. 34497 (Judith & Co., 1905).
Unmarked, gilt brass movement with lever escapement, blued Breguet balance spring, screw compensation balance, jewels, crown winding. Functional in short time test. Silver-plated dial with recessed center and Arabic numerals, minute ring, small second and blued spade hands.
14 k hallmarked, Swiss hallmark, Seeland company mark, gold dust cover with medals. Ø 5.2 cm. 73 g.
Flat savonnette with historicist relief decoration and ligated monogram. Comes with a "Preisverzeichnis der Präzisions-Anker-Uhren Seeland" of the Seeland Watch Co. AG from 1910. Scratch marks on case and dial.
