Silver Biedermeier verge pocket watch with date. Berthoud, Paris.
1st H. 19th century Movement No. 530, Case No. 2454.
"Berthoud à Paris" signed brass full plate movement with florally pierced verge bridge, profiled movement pillars, verge escapement, chain and fusee, keywind. Functional in short time test. White enamel dial with colored Roman and Arabic numerals, minute ring and sun and arrowhead hands, inner chapter ring for date with moon phase motifs.
Control stamp 1819-1865 and company mark punched. Clock Ø 5.4 cm, mantle Ø 5.9 cm. Total weight 106 g.
Smooth case with engraved rim and high bridge. Comes with a metal watch case with remnants of a red colored lacquer. Signs of age and wear, dial with partial defects, case with defects.
