Marburg finch chest with ornate marquetry.
Circa 1810/20.
Cherry, walnut, birch burl and other woods, veneered and stained in color. Approx. 72.5 x 144.5 x 62.5 cm.
Biedermeier chest, slightly protruding hinged lid with stepped cornice edge, profiled base zone with arched recess, iron carrying handles on the sides, shield-shaped brass key fittings. Mock coffering all around, cover plate with star inlays, multiple segmented fields on the front, some with hinges, embossed lids, flowers, decorative ornaments and various ornaments. Inside a side sideboard. Restored ready to live in.
With original iron lock and key.
