            High-quality carved vessel made from deer antlers.  Lebrecht Schulz and Sons in Meiningen/Thuringia. 
Mid-19th century  
Stag horn with carved relief, partly stained brown. H 14 cm. 171 g. 
  Vase-like vessel with stag rose as foot and lip. Light relief carving in contrast to the dark ground: reclining dog and goose on the foot; on the wall a leaping deer with 5 animals, mostly looking up at the capital stag.  1 small missing part on the leaf wreath. 
Lebrecht Wilhelm Schulz (1774 - 1863), famous ivory and stag horn carver from Meiningen. His two sons Joseph and Wilhelm supported him in his workshop and continued to run it for a few years after his death.
