Monumental lidded vase in the Viennese style.
Imitated ribbon mark, 2nd half of the 19th century, brush numerals "1548" and "859/VI.".
Polychrome painted, gold-coloured. H 98.5 cm. 12.2 kg.
Ovoid body with two handles, pommel lid and round foot, mounted on a round base. Cobalt blue background, eggshell-colored partial background, golden vegetal ornaments. On the front an oval medallion with the depiction of Eos and Cephalus(?). Partial gold abrasion, small glaze chip to the foot, restoration to the rim of the mouth, lid knob restored and glued.
