Foundation-era commode clock with the coat of arms of Pope Leo XIII.
2nd half of the 19th century
Unmarked movement with quarter hour and hour strike on 2 gongs. Functional in the short time test, in need of revision. Brass dial with chased bezel, recessed center marked "Joseph Mayer in Allmitz(?)", Roman numerals and Louis XV hands.
Various woods, stained mahogany, embossed sheet brass. H 49 cm. 3.6 kg.
Lyre-shaped case on a flat base with carved front and crowning trunnion. Historicist decoration with gothic pediment, foliage, rocailles and coat of arms decoration, this shows the coat of arms of Pope Leo XIII. Signs of age and wear, with defects.
1 pendulum with thread suspension, without key.
