Large baroque writing box.
18th century
Various woods veneered (walnut, maple, pear etc., partly slightly fire-shaded). 14 x 15 x 45 cm.
Writing case with elaborate marquetry on the sides and on the sloping hinged lid, which serves as a writing surface. A branded coat of arms with mitre in the center of the writing surface. Inside, a large hollow compartment and 3 original drawers. Some edge strips replaced to match, hardly any veneer replacements, traces of use on the back without veneer, signs of age/wear.
