Galvanoplastic (copper with bronze patina). Inscribed. 30 x 44 x 24 cm. 13.4 kg.
Realistic depiction of a pair of lions on a rock. While the lion gazes into the distance, the female is depicted lying in wait. Patina minimally rubbed.
Hungarian sculptor, pupil of Zala, studied at the Munich Academy under Hackl and Eberle. He celebrated his first great success at the Millennium Exhibition in Budapest in 1896; at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900 he was represented with 100 sculptures, which were awarded the Grand Prix, among others.
