Gouache/watercolor, each glazed green ppt. in black wood panel frame. Each 27 x 21 cm, frame 43 x 37 cm. Total weight 5.2 kg. 
  Soldiers aptly captured in strong colors: Officer of the 7th regiment on horseback with cavalcade in the background. Galloping horseman with cannoneers in the background. Standing cannoneer in front of a gun carriage. Standing cannoneer of the 9th regiment in front of a gun emplacement in action. Standing soldier on the shore with pioneers building a bridge.  Sheets each cut in the middle, 1 small tear at the edge, traces of age/use on each. 
Munich painter and illustrator, he studied at the Munich Academy under Raupp. Contributor to the Fliegende Blätter and the Deutsche Kavalleriezeitung; known above all for his depictions of horses.
