Social utopia of the Masonic movement, with the first printing of the Mozart cantata "Die ihr des unermeßlichen Weltalls Schöpfer ehrt". "The Hamburg merchant Fr. H. Ziegenhagen, 'Maurer in Regensburg', had requested this composition from Mozart for his writing, intended for singing in the conventicles of his Naturfreunde-Kolonie." (KV 619). The paintings by Chodowiecki show, among other things, the ideal plan of the rural philanthropic institution just outside Hamburg.
