Otto Lindig (1895 Pößneck - 1966 Wiesbaden) studied in the ceramics and modeling class at the Grand Ducal School of Arts and Crafts in Weimar under Henry van de Velde. He later took over the technical management of the Bauhaus pottery based in Dornburg/Saale. The Dornburg workshop, which Lindig had initially managed as a department of the new State College of Crafts and Architecture when the Weimar Bauhaus closed and continued to run as a private tenant from 1930, was finally closed in 1946. During the Dornburg years, he produced numerous dishes and unique vessels in clear and mostly unmistakable shapes and glazes.
