Miró, painter, graphic artist, draughtsman, applied artist and sculptor, studied at the academy in Barcelona. Active as a freelance artist since 1915, first solo exhibition in 1918, joined the Surrealists in 1924. Alongside Picasso and Dali, one of the most important Spanish artists of the 20th century.
