If Albert Joseph Franke, then: German genre painter (1860 Buchwitz/Breslau - 1924 Munich), studied at the Breslau Academy under Breuer, later at the Munich Academy under Seitz, Gabl and W.v. Lindenschmit. Study trip to Spain, Algeria and Morocco, resident in Munich since the early 1890s. Member of the Künstlergenossenschaft (artists' cooperative), exhibited at the Munich Glaspalast from 1900 and at exhibitions in Düsseldorf and Berlin.
