Model year: 1955, cutlery pattern no. 86. 42 pieces: 12 cake forks, 8 coffee spoons, 22 demitasse spoons. Design classic with colored cabochons. Hallmarks: Crescent and crown, fineness, factory mark.
The cutlery manufactory was founded by Carl Hugo Pott in 1904 as a damascening workshop in Solingen; after his son Carl Pott joined the company in 1932, it developed into a major manufacturer of table cutlery. Hoffmann (1870-1956), architect and designer, studied at the Academy in Vienna, 1899-1937 professor at the School of Arts and Crafts in Vienna.
