Biedermeier vitrine cup. KPM Berlin.
Zepter mark and blue painter's mark, 1803-1813.
Polychrome painted, decorated in gold. Cup (h 6 cm), completed saucer (Ø 13 cm).
Cylinder cup with ear handle. The front depicts a kneeling young woman, placing a heart in the fire on a small offering table, a dog sitting next to the table, inscribed "Opfer der Treue". Inscribed by hand on the underside of the added saucer "Von Tante Emilie Duvoisen geb. Baron, von Beaufort erhalten zu Schweidnitz AD. 14 Sept. 1824 [...] to Baden Baden April 1833.". 2 minimal chips to the rim of the cup.
