Plate from the wedding service of Princess Luise Marie Elisabeth of Prussia (1838-1923). KPM Berlin.
Sceptre mark, penny mark and red imperial orb, 1849-1856.
Polychrome painted, decorated in gold. Ø 25.5 cm.
Model "English smooth". In the mirror a bouquet of flowers, on the flag a royal blue ribbon with golden rosettes and the crowned, ligated monogram PLP (= Princess Luise [of] Prussia). Minimal gold wear to the rim.
Princess Luise, the only daughter of Prince Wilhelm of Prussia, later Emperor Wilhelm (1797-1888) and his wife Augusta of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (1811-1890), married Grand Duke Friedrich I of Baden (1826-1907) on September 20, 1856.
