Early 20th century Marked with numerals "134/542". GURSCHNER, Gustav(1873 Mühldorf - 1971 Vienna)
Patinated bronze. 9.5 x 13 x 8 cm. 0.7 kg.
Vessel designed in the style of antiquity with rotelle and meander decoration as well as Art Nouveau line ornamentation on the wall. Minimal signs of age/use.
Austrian sculptor, student of Otto König at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts, influenced by Charpentier on his trip to Paris. Member of the Vienna Secession and the Vienna Hagenbund. He was also one of the first sports car drivers in Austria.
