Marble pendulum with Brocot escapement. S. Marti & Cie, Paris.
France. Circa 1900. movement no. 24132.
Marked movement with half hour strike on round gong. Functional in short time test, overhaul recommended. Black dial with recessed center and visible Brocot escapement, Roman numerals and spear hands.
Black and red marble, partly bronzed in gold, dark patinated bronze. Approx. 56 x 37 x 19.5 cm. 24 kg.
Architectural case with pierced and cone-crowned domed roof, floral notching and partly sculptural historicist decoration, on a wide base with 4 offset pedestal feet. Roof panels and front glazing are cracked, front door does not close, marble partially chipped.
