Painted bucket with battle scene and slogan, probably in the Baroque style.

Sheet iron and wrought iron painted in polychrome. H 24 cm, Ø 31 cm (each without handle). 2.8 kg.
Slightly conical bucket with beaded rim below the lip and riveted attachments for the carrying handle. The body is made of 2 halves with seam folds; the smooth base is also folded in. On the wall with a red background and acanthus leaves, an oval painting of a naval battle between a Dutch ship and the Spanish fleet. On the opposite side a bouquet of flowers with the date "Anno 1715". Below the lip the Dutch inscription "Sorghen en waecken syn 'sHeren saecken. Die 't graan nyt eert ist broot nyt weert". Small dents and paint chips, somewhat rusty inside.
