19th/20th century
Cast metal (partly electroplated) copper-plated, brass-plated, blackened or gold-bronzed. Embossed metal and brass. 3x with reverse glass pictures (prints, partly colored). Each lined with fabric on the inside. Maximum 16 x 17 x 11 cm. Total weight 3.5 kg.
Each richly decorated in Baroque style, 1x in Empire style. Frequently souvenirs: model of Cologne Cathedral as a knob, plaque "Trier, Porta Nigra". Reverse glass pictures "Pont Alexandre III" (Paris), "Boulogne", "Thale, Rosstrappensprung". Oval box with peacock relief, Empire-style box with female head relief plaque, lute-shaped box on a rocaille stand. Some heavy signs of age/use.
