Circa 1850. Saxony.
Colorless glass, polychrome enamel painting, pewter. H 22 cm.
Slightly baluster-shaped jug with wide, pewter-mounted base, strap handle and pewter-mounted hinged lid; pontil mark. On the front a bouquet of flowers with a yellow inscription band, on it the inscription "Take this glass from a friend; Who means it faithfully and honestly.", on the pewter lid the engraving "18. J.
