Pendant to model no. F 265 "Peasant Girl", painted in color. Incised mark, press mark, painter's mark, sword mark, press mark: From 11 master pieces no. 11, handwritten artist's signet, dated: (19)24. The production of master pieces (artist's copies) was introduced in 1918. The shaping and staffing of these copies was supervised or reworked by the artist himself. This is why masterpieces are usually signed by the artist himself in overglaze paint.
* Börner, painter, draughtsman, modeller and medallist, studied at the Academy in Dresden. From 1911 at the Meissen manufactory, 1924 professor, from 1930 director of the art department, from 1937 professor at the academy in Dresden, 1943-1945 its director. Also supplied models for KPM Berlin, Wallendorf and Volkstedt, the most versatile and prolific Art Deco artist at the Meissen manufactory.
