The painter's genre scene in typical coloring with a woman sitting on a stone in a wide mountainous landscape with her sleeping infant in the warm sunshine. Minimal traces of age.
German painter, studied in Berlin and later in Düsseldorf under Schadow and K. Sohn. Wife of the Danish sculptor J. A. Jerichau. Later settled in Copenhagen, member of the academy there. Also traveled extensively throughout Europe, North Africa and the Orient.
