Marble bust of Henry IV.
White marble, dark marble, black stone. 76 kg.
Representative bust of Henry IV, the first French king from the House of Bourbon, with a slightly lowered gaze, on a black round base. The head and neck are made of white marble; the skin areas are polished, while the hair has been left unpolished and with a rough surface. The body, on the other hand, especially the robe, is made of a much darker, marbled stone. Plinth edges partly chipped and subsequently filed, partly cemented marble vein on the back and marble vein with a small breakout on the front of the robe.
