Art Nouveau coffee and tea service. Kayserzinn.
Marked "Kayserzinn" with additional marks "4907" (4x) and "4908" (on tray). 1908-10.

The coffee and tea service, consisting of a coffee pot (H 21.5 cm, 843 g), teapot (H 16.5 cm, 712 g), cream jug (H 11 cm, 249 g), sugar bowl (H 10.5 cm, 340 g) and a tray (43 x 26 cm, 1211 g), is uniform in decoration and shape. The vessels have a conical, slightly bulbous body over an indented base ring, the shoulder is short with a low conical neck, the lip is profiled with an arched repeat, the lid is flat and round in each case. All objects have a decoration of stilted vertical ridges ending in a repeat of stylized, overlapping triangular umbels of ginkgo biloba leaves
. Signs of age and use, larger dent in the coffee pot.
The service was shown at the exhibition "Der westdeutsche Impuls 1900-1914" in Essen in 1984.
