Miniature portal clock in Louis XVI style with a work by Joseph Ranna.
Circa 1830/40. Movement No. 3672.
"Joseph Ranna à Vienne N° 3672" engraved brass full plate movement with floral balance bridge, probably with verge escapement, chain and fusee, keywind. Not running. White enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals and Scoties hands, chased in the center.
Brass, wood, glass. Clock h 10.5 cm, glass dome h 12.5 cm.
Small column clock with loop-crowned clock drum and a lyre motif, on an oval base with scroll frieze. Mounted on an oval, ebonized wooden base with glass lintel. Signs of age and wear in places, clock face with defects, repairs, one column with a crack, the gilding partially stained, glass lintel with slightly chipped edges.
