In addition to the classic children's, animal and floral motifs, some also include rarer glossy pictures; e.g. on the language of flowers, 2 glossy pictures of women in professional fields with a distinctly male connotation at the time (as the personification of the navy and as a lawyer), hunting, ships, vehicles and some military motifs (e.g. British soldiers and sailors). For example, British soldiers and sailors around 1900 and a very large glossy picture of George Washington in a pose after the well-known history painting Washington Crossing the Delaware by Emanuel Leutze (1851). The bindings each with defects, overall with signs of age and wear, worn. The largest album with some recent glossy images.
The Indestructible Scrapbook with handwritten entry on the inside of the cover: "Presented to Elitha Bolton by her mother Diamond Jubilee 1897". According to this ownership note, the owner Elitha Bolton received the album as a commemorative gift on the occasion of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897 (reign began in 1837).
