Document and Order Estate of Prof. Alfred Lange, Freiberg Mining Academy - From the Delousing Certificate to the National Prize of the GDR.
1906 - 1968, university lecturer and scientist, Dean of the Faculty of Metallurgy. Documents and medals of a life between the German Empire and the German Democratic Republic. Gustav Alfred Lange (* January 18, 1906 in Halsbrücke; † February 26, 1968 in Freiberg) was a German metallurgist. Son of a metallurgical inspector in Halsbrücke / Abitur in Freiberg / studied metallurgy at the Freiberg Mining Academy from 1925-30 / assistant to Carl Schiffner / additional studies in metal processing 1932 / 1932 - 1945 engineer and senior engineer at the Humboldt company in Cologne-Kalk. Field of work: construction and commissioning of smelting works, this activity took him to Yugoslavia, Argentina, Romania, Bulgaria, Belgium, France and Italy, among other places / Destruction of the Cologne apartment / 1945 return to Saxony / Management of the Halsbrücke smelting works until 1950 / 1948 first teaching assignments at the Freiberg Mining Academy / 1950 full professor and director of the Institute of Metallurgy / 1964 Dean of the Faculty of Metallurgy. Order (with small chip) and folder in original condition. Including numerous letters from politics, business and academia with congratulations on the award. - "Merited Technician of the People", 1956, with the signature of Willi Stoph. Medal and folder in original condition. - "Abraham-Gottlob-Werner-Plakette", 1961, Society of German Miners and Metallurgists. With numerous congratulatory letters. - "Badge of Honor of the Freiberg Mining Academy", 1967, medal and certificate. - "Honorary member of the Society of German Miners and Metallurgists", 1967, folder of certificates. - "Arthur Becker Medal" in silver. Medals and folder - "Activist badge", badges and paper. Also present from the immediate post-war period: several daily newspapers with reference to the person / membership card no. 313 of the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany, Saxony state association, 1946 / 2 'Propusk' of the Soviet occupation zone, 1947 and 1948 / 2 travel permits / 4 different work and identity cards / "Temporary travel document in place of a passport for German citizens", 1965 / ID card of the "Society of German-Soviet Friendship".
