Late Biedermeier secretary.
Mid 1st half of the 19th century
Walnut, solid and veneered, partly ebonized. Approx. 160 x 95 x 51 cm.
Writing cabinet with curved top drawer, hinged writing surface and two doors, on four conical square feet. Fitted with an open, mirrored central compartment, a top drawer, four flanking small drawers and three small plinth drawers. Brass knobs and round wooden keyhole fittings. 1 shelf. Restored, with additions, slight signs of age and wear, some slight cracks and veneer defects, knobs partially replaced or defective, inactive anobia infestation.
