Signed silk prayer rug with vases and animals.
2nd half 20th century Signed and inscribed in Persian in the border at the top and bottom.
Silk on cotton, extremely fine hand-knotting with a knot density of approx. 1 million per square meter. Pastel coloration. Approx. 151 x 93 cm.
Curved mihrab with lavishly filled vase motifs, flowering branches, hares and birds. Three-row border with flowers and animals, short kilim with knotted decoration and knotted fringes. Partially small defects in the pile, slightly soiled.
