Small silk carpet with tree of life and animals.
2nd half 20th century Iran.
Silk on silk, extremely fine hand-knotting with a knot density of approx. 1 million per square meter. Pastel coloration in predominantly beige and brown tones with red, green and blue. Approx. 122 x 74.5 cm.
Bridge format with a tree of life and colorful flowering branches on an ivory ground. Three-row border with floral motifs and wavy flower tendrils, a butterfly in the upper section, knotted fringes.
