Linen damask. The tablecloth 156 x 144.5 cm, the napkins each 54.0 x 56.0 cm. Together 1.1 kg.
Artist's monogram discreetly woven into all corners of both the napkins and the tablecloth. Tablecloth with continuous, floral-geometric Art Nouveau repeat pattern with 6 napkins of the same design; all pieces with white embroidered monogram "AH". Signs of age and wear; 8/9 napkins with losses, mostly holes or damage to the edges, the tablecloth with a few small holes and an older repaired hole.
Peter Behrens was an architect, painter and designer; he is considered a pioneer of modern industrial design.
