Blade marked: "Schimmelbusch & Sohn", "Solingen". Around 1800, Hesse.
Total length 92 cm.
Hexagonal in cross-section, double-edged blade with pattern etching and script engraving. Crowned monogram "L" on the guard plate, probably for Ludwig I, Grand Duke of Hesse. Black leather scabbard with carrying knob, this with a relief head of a bearded knight. Blade with light corrosion scars.
