Art Nouveau terracotta figurine "Salome". Viennese manufactory Friedrich Goldscheider
Mint mark GS 4a, 1887-1897, with the addition "Reproduction Reservée". Incised "Cherc" on the base. Model no. 2520 266 8. design: around 1897/98. Light body, bronzed and matt glazed in light brown tones and decorated in gold. H approx. 50 cm.
Oriental dancer standing in a dancing pose with cap and flower decoration, holding a loosely attached metal sun symbol in her hands, on a rectangular base. Listed in the GS catalog raisonné under model no. 2085 as "Salome" with lyre-like instrument. Restored at the hair, slightly chipped in places.
