France. Around 1900, unmarked. Verso incised signature "G. Van Vaerenbergh". Model no. 997, designed by Gustave VAN VAERENBERGH (1873-1927). Light body, stone- and bronze-colored matt glaze, decorated with gold. H approx. 51 cm.
Girl looking down with roses and foliage in her hair, on a concave square base. Probably an allegorical depiction. Slightly rubbed with gold, partially restored and re-bronzed.
