Marble. inscribed "A. Gory". H 52 cm. 20 kg.
On a round base a kneeling, half-nude woman moving her body in a dance, wearing antiquized drapes and head piece. Signs of age and wear, chipped on the base.
Affortunato Gori: Italian sculptor in Paris, studied under Augusto Rivalta at the Accademia di Belle Arti (Florence), after moving to Paris he was a student of the French artist Victorien-Antoine Bastet, also used the pseudonym Fortunato and was active as an artist from 1895 until his death in 1925.
