Large Art Nouveau terracotta figurine group "Amazon with shield and horse"
Relief mark GS 13 Sculpture, 1900-1920, with the addition "Fabriqué en Autriche". Incised "Capeque" on the base. Model no. 3894 69 3. design: Stanislaus CZAPEK (1874-?), around 1911. Light body, bronzed in various shades of brown with a matt glaze finish and gold-colored staffage. H 58 cm, l approx. 52.5 cm.
Standing Amazon with shield and metal spear, caressing her horse, on a curved rectangular base. Metal spear is loosely attached, some slight glaze rubbing and scratches.
