Art Nouveau terracotta figure "Shoemaker's Boy". Viennese manufactory Friedrich Goldscheider.
Relief mark GS 13 Sculpture, 1900-1920, and GS Adler 17, ca. 1902-1910. Incised "Petri" on the base. Model no. 4454 26 16. Design: possibly János (Johann) PETRIDES (1860-1942), but could also be a pseudonym according to the GS catalog raisonné.
Light body, matt stoneware glaze in light brown tones. H approx. 52 cm.
Standing boy with cobbler's apron, on an oval natural base. Minimal glaze rubbing.
