Large Art Nouveau terracotta figurine group "Goddess with four lions".
Relief mark GS 13 Sculpture, 1900-1920, with the addition "Reproduction Reservée", ca. 1895-1922. Signed "Lavergne" on the base. Model no. 3069 40 67, model no. not matching. A different model is listed under this model no. in the GS factory directory. It is therefore questionable whether this is an object from the Viennese manufactory Friedrich Goldscheider. Design: Adolphe Jean LAVERGNE (1863-1928).
Light body, matt glaze in shades of brown, fine stoneware(?). H approx. 42 cm, L approx. 71 cm.
Standing Cleopatra with winged helmet and long robe, between four striding lions, on a rectangular base. Restored, including hood and base, tails and base cracked, with chips.
