A hunter with his dog
Patinated bronze. inscribed "Marcel Debut". H 79 cm. 28.35 kg.
A running hunter is depicted on a terrain plinth. He wears a kind of loincloth to which an axe is attached, in his left hand he holds a spear and in his right the leash of his dog. Slight signs of age and wear, patina rubbed.
Marcel Debut: sculptor and painter in Paris, pupil of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and of Thomas and Chapu as sculptors, of Boulanger and Lefebvre as painters.
